GRATITUDE

There are no words to describe the depth of gratitude I feel, living with my daughter and my husband in this house in this town in this state in this country in this era. In spite of the current political regime, and the culture of fear it fosters, this era of my life is unbelievably good. It hasn't always been so. It won't always be so. But for now---and especially after reading stories of oppression like the one linked above---I know how fortunate I am.
